Our board game designer, Ian Babbitt, is up to some magic. The first game on the list is Nurikabe Forest.
In Nurikabe Forest, players navigate through a forest to be the first to collect four points from each side of the board and bring them back to the center while trying to block their opponent’s path using their Nurikabe. Players roll dice to move their piece and then place their Nurikabe on a numbered space to prevent other players from gaining a lead, or protect their own retreat. Keep your stick close to stop a Nurikabe from sending you back to start, or use it to knock out another player. While the game mechanics are simple, the strategy can get quite complicated. The game is easy to learn and quick to setup and play for all ages, with two boards for either a two player game for three to four player game.
